Trying to decide between 21 Day Fix and 21 Day Fix Extreme? Don’t flip a coin to make your choice! If you’ve not yet completed a round of the Fix and are trying to decide between the 2, here are the things you should know BEFORE investing in either program.
If you’re new to working out, out of shape or it’s been awhile since you’ve worked out regularly, it’s a no-brainer- choose 21 Day Fix. 21 Day Fix Extreme workouts are definitely not for newbies. Don’t let the inclusion of a low impact modification give you a false sense of security that you can or should be doing the Extreme program.
The low impact modifier in the workouts DOES jump (although not as high as the other cast members). Moves are more challenging and the rest periods between sets are generally shorter in Fix Extreme too which is why you should already have a good baseline level of fitness BEFORE going Extreme.
If you’re a graduate of the Fix who feels you’ve mastered the moves and are ready to take it up a notch (both with your fitness & your nutrition), go ahead and get Extreme. You’re in for a fun challenge that’ll bust you through a plateau or get you even better results.
If you’ve been working out for awhile and are trying to decide between Fix and Fix Extreme, either one would be a great option. And yes, the workouts in BOTH versions are sure to challenge you. I learned the hard way that although Fix was designed for ALL fitness levels, it doesn’t mean it’s a walk in the park for intermediate to advanced exercisers. For me, personally, the deciding factor is how hardcore you’re willing to go when it comes to your nutrition.
And no, hardcore doesn’t mean STARVING yourself. It’s just that Extreme is a bit more restrictive in types of foods. And, if you choose the even more intense Countdown to Competition meal plan that comes with Fix Extreme, you’ll be eating 8 times throughout the day! Food prep & planning is KEY for your success~ but it’s pretty difficult to feel hungry or deprived when you’re eating about every 2 hours.
Whether you wind up choosing 21 Day Fix or 21 Day Fix Extreme, I recommend you choose the Challenge Pack version- this comes with a month’s supply of Shakeology at a deeply discounted bundle price. Shakeology will not only satisfy your sweets cravings, it will also make meal planning easier as a quick blend & go option.
KickStart Challenge Packs come complete with a 3 Day Refresh Kit to “kickstart” your results.
